You will be supporting a young boy who lives at home with his parents in a caring, family environment. He enjoys listening to Cocomelon, football, playing on his playmat, story time, and learning with his caregiver. He attends school, so your role will involve supporting his daily routine, encouraging his interests, and ensuring he feels happy, safe, and supported at home. Carers will provide full support with all aspects of his personal care—including oral suctioning and tracheostomy care—following appropriate training and care plans. Clients may request either female or male staff, but all candidates are considered equally.
Responsibilities- Assist with daily personal care activities and medical procedures such as suctioning and tracheostomy care.
- Support the boy’s daily routine around school, play, and quiet times.
- Encourage his interests in storytelling, music, and sports.
- Follow individual care plans to ensure comfort, dignity, and wellbeing.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming home environment.
- Minimum three months of care experience.
- Confidence with medication, personal care, moving and handling.
- Clear communication skills.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Experience with autism, chronic lung disease, and tracheostomy care is desirable.
