Main duties of the job
Meet Our Client
A gentleman in his mid-20s who lives with his family in Harborne, Birmingham. He has a spinal injury and requires compassionate, professional support with bowel and catheter care, management of autonomic dysreflexia, pain control, and ongoing rehabilitation. His care is delivered on a 2:1 basis both day and night to ensure his safety, comfort, and quality of life.
He is independent, able to communicate his needs, and takes an active role in directing his own care. Focused on his rehabilitation, he enjoys an active lifestyle that includes going to the gym, socialising, and eating out.
As part of his care team, you will support him with personal care, moving and handling, clinical care, and rehabilitation, both at home and during appointments, as well as accompanying him in the community and assisting with household tasks. At night, your focus will be on ensuring his comfort through repositioning, clinical observations, and personal care, while maintaining a calm and restful environment.
