Main duties of the job

We are expanding our services in Halifax and are looking for compassionate, reliable Healthcare Assistants to support a young lady in her mid‑teens with complex clinical care needs. Her interests include shopping, watching television and beauty. Supporting her independence and enabling her to enjoy meaningful experiences is a key aspect of this position. Responsibilities include supporting complex clinical interventions, assisting with daily care routines, and empowering her to enjoy quality time with family, friends and the community.

Job responsibilities

The role of a Healthcare Assistant is to work without direct supervision in the home of the service user, providing personal, social and domestic support while adhering to the user’s care plan. The aim is to enable the user to remain safely in their own home with as much independence as possible. Care should be provided in a professional and discreet manner, maintaining privacy and dignity.
