We live and work by the 6 Cs: Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage, and Commitment – and we’re looking for people who share those values.

Meet Our Client

We’re expanding our services in Colchester and the surrounding areas and are seeking compassionate, dedicated Healthcare Assistants to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to adults and children with clinical needs. In this rewarding role, you will support clients in their own homes and communities by delivering tailored care that promotes dignity, independence, and wellbeing.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Clinical interventions
  • Assistance with personal care routines
  • Supporting clients to live fulfilling lives

You’ll help clients enjoy meaningful moments, whether that’s spending time with family and friends, attending community outings, or engaging in everyday activities that matter to them. Evening shifts may include bedtime routines, offering reassurance and companionship while remaining attentive and responsive to care needs throughout the night.

When working with younger clients, you’ll actively encourage engagement and take part in the activities they love, supporting their development through play and interaction. This may include joining in with arts and crafts, outdoor play, educational games, and sensory activities, helping to create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where they feel supported, confident, and happy.

This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference while being part of a growing healthcare service committed to excellence in care. Due to the nature of our vacancies, our clients have the right to request either female or male staff. Our clients have specifically requested females only to join their care team.

“This isn't just a job – it’s your opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s life.”

What You’ll Need:

  • 3 months’ care experience
  • Confident with medication, personal care, moving and handling
  • Clear communication skills
  • Exposure to complex care
  • Valid UK driving licence

What We Offer:

  • Competitive hourly pay with enhancements for nights and weekends
  • Regular confirmed rotas and flexible scheduling
  • Reward & recognition programme
  • Supportive management and 24/7 on-call support
  • Opportunity to grow within a values‑led, national care provider
  • Our funded training, including clinical skills, comes at no cost to you, though attendance is unpaid.

Apollo Home Healthcare is an equal opportunity employer, advertising numerous vacancies on behalf of our clients and these specific requirements do not reflect the views of our organisation.
