Position OverviewThe role will be responsible for leading Apollo’s direct origination efforts across the Nordic region. The focus will be on medium and large cap deals but also for building out other direct origination asset classes as appropriate. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Serve as the investment professional for European direct origination in regionManage direct origination and act as the subject matter expertGrow & develop direct origination businessBuild on existing Financial Sponsor relations in the region in coordination with the rest of the team and Apollo businessesSupport cross-platform projects and the development of investment products in the regionQualifications & Experience8-10 years of experience with experience as an investment professional responsible for directly originated lendingStrong knowledge of the Nordics market & originating direct lending in the regionStrong network with Financial SponsorDemonstrates excellent investment judgment, mental agility and decision makingContributes significantly to the team mandate as well as to the broader Credit mandate by identifying investment opportunities across the credit platformConsistently produces a thoughtful, accurate and reliable work product which reflects good product knowledge and technical expertiseDemonstrates a strong business focus on expanding Apollo's investment success and market presence in the regionPlay an active role in sourcing and managing relationships to generate opportunities in the regionDirect lending or PE background SummaryLocation: London, United KingdomType: Full time
