Position Overview
Apollo is seeking an Analyst or Associate to join their London product team focusing on Direct Lending. Product coverage and involvement will primarily center around Apolloâs growing European based funds and platforms, as well as expanding the international product expertise for Apolloâs global platforms.
This person will assist in coordinating new product launches, supporting the growth of various product lines, managing active fundraise processes, keeping the sales team informed of initiatives and developments and presenting marketing opportunities externally.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in launching new products out of Europe including strategic planning, legal document execution, marketing materials development and sourcing seed capital
- Facilitate the creation of marketing materials and presentations
- Manage all aspects of active fundraises for London-based products, from product launch to final close
- Collaborate and coordinate with global Sales team and other members of the Client & Product Solutions team to raise capital from existing and new investors
- Managing build out of fund materials on various internal platforms e.g. Data Room
- Maintain investment and performance data as well as investor pipeline details
- Analyze large data sets to create new content and draft investor responses
- Execute on client requests for the purpose of eventual closing of allocations as well as ongoing client management, including due diligence requests and RfP submissions
- Provide regular portfolio and market updates to existing investors
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of client servicing/reporting materials for existing investors
- Work closely with investment, finance, compliance and legal teams to build an inâdepth understanding of the various portfolios, fund structures and investor objectives
- Constantly seek to build relationships through appropriate follow-up, gaining a thorough understanding of investors\â internal approval processes and how allocations fit in the context of their overall portfolios
Qualifications & Experience
- 2+ years of prior experience, preferably within an alternative asset management firm, investment bank, private bank or investment consulting firm (Associate level minimum 3.5 years professional experience)
- Experience in a portfolio management, business development or product role
- Experience in leverage finance/direct lending
- Understanding of the alternative asset management marketplace, products and competitors
- Strong ability to multi-task and pivot between internal facing and external facing responsibilities at various periods of time
- Strong analytical capabilities in order to develop product expertise in relevant strategies; ability to engage in detailed investment discussions
