Position Overview
The role will be responsible for leading Apollo’s direct origination efforts across the Nordics. The focus will be on medium and large cap deals but also for building out other direct origination asset classes as appropriate.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the investment professional for European direct origination in region
- Manage direct origination and act as the subject matter expert for the Nordics
- Grow & develop direct origination business
- Build on existing Financial Sponsor relations in the region in coordination with the rest of the team and Apollo businesses
- Support cross-platform projects and the development of investment products in the region
Qualifications & Experience
- 8-10 years of experience with experience as an investment professional responsible for directly originated lending
- Strong knowledge of the Nordic market & originating direct lending in the region
- Strong network with Financial Sponsors
- Demonstrates excellent investment judgment, mental agility and decision making
- Contributes significantly to the team mandate as well as to the broader Credit mandate by identifying investment opportunities across the credit platform
- Consistently produces a thoughtful, accurate and reliable work product which reflects good product knowledge and technical expertise
- Demonstrates a strong business focus on expanding Apollo's investment success and market presence in the region
- Play an active role in sourcing and managing relationships to generate opportunities in the region
- Consistent team player who is able to effectively work across Apollo to advance the teams goals
