The Analyst will support the Associate Director with the monthly close process for several international entities. Responsibilities include preparing monthly journals, overseeing Accounts Receivable schedules, performing bank reconciliations, assisting with general ledger activities including preparation of monthly Management Reporting packs. This is a broad and varied role offering excellent exposure to all areas of a Corporate Finance function, making it well‑suited to a part‑qualified accountant seeking to build technical experience and progress their career.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities, including posting journals, preparing accruals, cost allocations, revenue calculations, and performing bank reconciliations.
- Support the preparation of year‑end statutory financial statements and associated balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare and process quarterly sales invoices.
- Liaise regularly with Corporate and Fund Controllers, Tax, Compliance, and Legal teams in London, Mumbai, and New York, ensuring queries and deliverables are addressed accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with wider team members on process improvements, contributing to consistent and efficient best practices across the department.
- Complete ad hoc tasks, analysis, and project work as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Part‑qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA) with a commitment to continuing studies.
- Proactive, self‑motivated approach with the ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.
- Strong attention to detail and a hands‑on working style.
- Ability to understand the broader business context and think ahead.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- High ethical standards with the ability to always maintain confidentiality.
- Strong technical skills, particularly in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups).
- Experience with PeopleSoft is advantageous but not essential.
