This role is responsible for delivering effective property and site inspections across our communities to ensure buildings meet health and safety requirements. It involves maintaining accurate, real-time compliance records and reporting as needed, along with carrying out checks on systems such as emergency lighting, fire doors, lifts, fire equipment, and automatic doors. The position also includes arranging the removal of unauthorised items from communal areas in line with Scottish legislation, ordering and installing signage, reporting repairs, and communicating issues to Community Housing Managers. Additionally, the role supports contractor access, assists with minor housing management tasks for works on buildings and sites, and completes general administrative duties.
The role requires experience in housing or property management and a solid understanding of health and safety compliance requirements for registered social landlords. Candidates should be well organised, detail focused, proficient with IT, and able to solve problems effectively. Strong communication skills with both customers and colleagues are essential. You will also be required to work independently.
