Apointe is supporting the appointment of a Group Financial Controller for an international, AIM-listed technology business entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation.

This is a senior leadership role sitting at the heart of the finance function, partnering directly with the Group CFO to ensure the highest standards of financial reporting, governance and control across a complex international group.

This isn't simply about producing the numbers. You'll be the technical accounting lead for the organisation, driving financial control, leading a high-performing team and helping shape the future finance function through systems, automation and continuous improvement.

The business operates globally, combines strong recurring SaaS revenues with an ambitious growth agenda and offers genuine exposure to strategic initiatives including M&A, investor reporting and finance transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Group financial control and reporting function across multiple international entities.
  • Take ownership of IFRS technical accounting, ensuring robust accounting policies and governance.
  • Oversee statutory reporting, external audit and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and strengthen the Group's financial control framework.
  • Partner closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, Legal and Operations.
  • Drive improvements in finance systems, automation and reporting capability.
  • Lead and develop an established international finance team.
  • Support strategic projects including acquisitions, funding activity and finance transformation.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Group Financial Controller or Financial Controller who combines exceptional technical accounting capability with strong leadership skills.

You'll ideally bring:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
  • Significant experience within a multi-entity international group.
  • Strong IFRS technical accounting expertise.
  • Experience leading external audits and statutory reporting.
  • A passion for improving systems, controls and finance processes.
  • The confidence to influence senior leadership and operate as a trusted business partner.
  • Previous listed business experience would be advantageous, although candidates from complex private equity-backed or international organisations will also be considered.

What's on Offer

This is an opportunity to join a high-quality international organisation where finance is viewed as a genuine strategic partner to the business.

You'll work closely with an impressive CFO, lead an established finance function and play a key role in shaping the future of the organisation as it continues to grow.
