We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Business Partner to join our client’s leadership team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of financial control, reporting, and performance management across multiple business units, partnering closely with senior stakeholders to drive efficiency and profitability.
As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you’ll provide strategic financial insight, challenge operational performance, and lead financial planning and reporting processes. Working alongside Regional Operations Directors and the Exec team, you’ll play a pivotal role in identifying efficiency opportunities, ensuring robust financial governance, and shaping business decisions that deliver sustainable growth. You’ll also lead and develop a Finance Business Partnering team, deputising for the Finance Director where required, and contributing directly to the organisation’s financial success.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for regional business units.
- Deliver accurate monthly P&L and balance sheet ownership, supported by the CoE.
- Ensure month-end accounts are completed on time and deviations are clearly explained.
- Provide timely, high-quality analysis and reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Identify cost control, efficiency, and cash-generating opportunities.
- Support and challenge operational management to improve financial and operational KPIs.
- Review and challenge forecasts, budgets, and investment business cases.
- Ensure robust post-investment appraisals are carried out.
- Partner with commercial and operational teams to drive profitability.
- Lead and develop the Finance Business Partnering team.
- Support transformation projects and deputise for the Finance Director as required.
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- 5+ years’ finance management experience.
- Strong management accounting background.
- Proven ability to generate actionable insight from complex data.
- Track record of driving business and financial performance improvement.
- Advanced Excel skills and SAP systems experience.
- Strong business partnering skills, with the ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
- Commercially astute, with experience supporting profit improvement plans.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Experience in unit project finance support.
- Exposure to labour efficiency and cost of goods (COGS) analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Commercial acumen and ability to interpret data into actionable insight.
- Ability to build strong relationships and resilience under pressure.
- Passion for continuous improvement and business transformation.
