PE-Backed | Buy & Build | Business Services
Location: London (Hybrid)
A pointe have been exclusively retained by a Lower Mid-Market fund on the search for a CFO to join a high‑growth Business Services group. This is a business with a solid base (c.£10m EBITDA), now entering the next phase buy‑and‑build, scale, and exit. The plan is clear: 2–3 acquisitions over the next 12–24 months, professionalise the function, and build a business that’s ready for exit in the next 3–4 years.
The Role
- Partnering with the CEO and PE investors to shape and deliver the growth plan
- Leading M&A activity – diligence, execution, integration, synergy tracking
- Driving FP&A, cash, and performance visibility across the group
- Embedding robust controls, systems, and reporting
- Managing lender, investor, and board relationships
- Developing and upgrading the finance team, including mentoring a Head of Finance
What We’re Looking For
- CFO / FD experience in a PE‑backed, lower mid / mid‑market environment
- Strong track record in buy‑and‑build + M&A execution
- Experience in Business Services / Professional Services / Tech‑enabled services
- Commercial, hands‑on, and comfortable operating in pacey, evolving businesses
- Someone who has been through the journey not just managed BAU
