Working directly alongside the Founder & CEO, you'll become one of the most influential leaders in the organisation, providing financial leadership, strategic insight and trusted advice across the business.

The Opportunity
Our client is looking for an experienced finance leader who has already earned credibility in the boardroom and is ready to play a central role in shaping the future of a successful business.
You'll lead an established finance function while partnering closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, providing the balanced judgement, strategic thinking and financial leadership needed to support continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop and inspire an established finance function.
- Own the budgeting, forecasting and long-term business planning process.
- Deliver high-quality financial reporting and insightful Board information.
- Partner the CEO and Board on strategic planning, investment decisions and business performance.
- Lead statutory reporting, treasury, tax, audit and governance activities.
- Drive continuous improvement across financial reporting, controls and systems.
- Build strong relationships with banking partners, auditors and external advisers.
- Support operational leaders with meaningful financial insight that improves decision making.
- Help shape the long-term strategic direction of the business.
- Develop a finance function recognised for both technical excellence and commercial support.
About You
You'll already be an established Finance Director with the experience and confidence to operate as a key member of a senior leadership team.
You're commercially aware without losing sight of financial discipline and governance.
You've earned your reputation through sound judgement, balanced decision making and your ability to build trusted relationships across a business.
We're particularly interested in individuals who can demonstrate
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
- Proven experience as a Finance Director within a complex operational business.
- Experience working closely with CEOs, Boards or Founders on strategic initiatives.
- Strong technical expertise across financial reporting, planning, controls, treasury and governance.
- A track record of leading, developing and mentoring high-performing finance teams.
- Excellent communication skills with the credibility to influence at Board level.
- A hands-on leadership style and genuine interest in understanding how a business operates.
- Experience within retail, consumer, manufacturing, distribution, logistics or similarly fast-paced environments would be advantageous.
- Previous PLC experience would be welcomed but is not essential.
