We are seeking a fully qualified Financial Accountant to join a dynamic, fast-paced finance team. This pivotal role focuses on delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust balance sheet controls, and supporting the month-end close process. The ideal candidate will manage key accounting areas, including accruals, prepayments, payroll accounting, and reconciliations while supporting reporting activities within EPM/FCCS systems.
What You'll Be Doing
- Financial Accounting: Manage transactional entries, including payroll, wages, and overhead journals.
- Ledgers & Adjustments: Oversee complex ledger transactions, accruals, prepayments, and lease adjustments.
- Period-End Close: Drive month-end and year-end close processes and upload data into corporate reporting systems.
- Controls & Audits: Perform balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and support internal/external audit requirements.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with operational and finance teams to streamline reporting and resolve queries.
What You Bring
- Fully qualified/Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Strong financial accounting baseline with proven experience in month-end close, prepayments/accruals, payroll/salary accounting, and variance investigation.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
- Experience with EPM/FCCS reporting and consolidation processes is highly preferred, alongside exposure to major ERP platforms (e.g., Oracle NetSuite, SAP, Oracle Hyperion).
- High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with a proactive, hands-on, and continuous improvement mindset.
