This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced workshop role where precision, consistency, and technical curiosity matter. As a PDI Workshop Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring every device that leaves our workshop is fully built, configured, and ready to perform perfectly in a client environment. You will take ownership of the full pre‑delivery process – from unboxing through to final testing and preparation for dispatch. What You Will Be Doing

  • Assembling and preparing photocopiers and printers for deployment
  • Installing peripherals and upgrading firmware
  • Configuring devices to meet specific client requirements
  • Completing system initialisation, calibration, and functional testing
  • Applying manufacturer and Apogee settings
  • Preparing devices safely for transportation
  • Maintaining accurate records across internal systems
  • Keeping the workshop organised, safe, and efficient

Hours: Mon to Fri 08:00 – 17:00 (42.5 hours per week)

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Experience in a hands‑on, technical, mechanical, or production‑based environment (for example workshop, assembly, IT hardware, or similar) OR demonstrable practical technical ability (such as building or repairing equipment)
  • Comfortable using computers and basic software such as Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to follow technical processes accurately and consistently
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and right‑first‑time delivery
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to manage workload effectively
