We are currently looking for a pioneering Engineer to join our growing team on-island, acting as a vital link in supporting the States of Guernsey's IT infrastructure.

As an End User Computing Engineer, you will be at the heart of the island's public service delivery. You wonβt just be sitting behind a desk; you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of hardware from imaging and configuration to onsite deployment and repair across various States of Guernsey sites.
- Key Responsibilities:
- HP Ecosystem & Imaging: Deploy Windows OS images using modern tools like Intune and SCCM, ensuring all hardware is tailored to specific departmental needs.
- Onsite Delivery: Travel across the island to various States of Guernsey locations to install systems and provide face-to-face technical support.
- Hardware Mastery: Perform in-house repairs, part replacements, and diagnostics to keep the island's infrastructure running smoothly.
- Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with third-party IT teams and States stakeholders to ensure seamless deployment transitions.
- Lifecycle Management: Manage the secure disposal of assets and data in line with strict environmental and security policies.
Skills and Experience Required:
- You are a technically minded individual who thrives on variety.
- Experienced: You have a proven track record in PC imaging, deployment, and hardware repair.
- Tech-Savvy: You are proficient with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, SCCM, and Intune.
- Mobile: You possess a valid driving licence and access to a personal vehicle for travel between various island sites.
- Local Insight: Familiarity with the States of Guernsey's IT Estate is a significant advantage.
- Reliable: You must satisfy Guernsey Government employment eligibility, background checks, and security clearance.
