Job Details

Location: Inverness and Northern Scotland. This role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and requires disclosure of all spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands, and final warnings. An offer of employment is conditional upon a satisfactory DBS certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct service visits to address reported calls and maintain high standards of professional service support.
  • Respond promptly to customer service requests for the repair of business equipment.
  • Perform fault diagnosis and implement effective repairs through adjustments, cleaning, or spare parts replacement.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance as per manufacturer guidelines and service management recommendations.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and provide detailed reports on work completed, ensuring acceptance of equipment condition and performance post-service.
  • Install equipment sold by the company and ensure optimal performance to customer satisfaction.
  • Provide training and guidance to customers to maximise equipment efficiency and prevent operational errors.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and consumables to support service operations.

A typical working pattern is Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30, with a one‑hour lunch break. This role is fully remote at client sites, with occasional attendance at our offices for team meetings and training.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience as an engineer on MFD printers.
  • IT knowledge with the ability to network devices and set up scanning functions.
  • Strong customer service skills and prior customer‑facing experience.
  • Experience working in a target‑driven environment.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Willingness to undertake training on new product lines, such as laptops and PCs.
