The role involves delivering exceptional technical support to our diverse customer base across Central Scotland, travelling to client sites in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Falkirk, Stirling and surrounding areas.

Job DetailsThis role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Applicants must disclose all convictions, cautions, and disqualifications. Employment is conditional upon a satisfactory DBS certificate and a risk assessment of any disclosed information.

Location: Central Belt, Scotland (Glasgow to Edinburgh). The position requires frequent travel across central Scotland, covering areas such as Motherwell, Falkirk, Stirling, and surrounding towns.

Responsibilities

Conduct service visits to address reported calls and maintain high standards of professional service support.

Respond promptly to customer service requests for the repair of business equipment.

Perform fault diagnosis and implement effective repairs through adjustments, cleaning, or spare parts replacement.

Carry out preventive maintenance as per manufacturer guidelines and service management recommendations.

Communicate effectively with customers, providing detailed reports on work completed, and ensuring acceptance of equipment condition and performance post‐service.

Install equipment sold by the company and ensure optimal performance to satisfy customer needs.

Provide training and guidance to customers to maximize equipment efficiency and prevent operational errors.

Manage inventory of spare parts and consumables effectively to support service operations.

A typical working pattern is Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30, with a one‐hour lunch break. The role is fully remote at client sites; attendance at our offices is required periodically for team meetings and training.

Skills And Experience Required

Experience as an engineer on MFD printers.

IT knowledge with the ability to network devices and set up scanning functions.

First‐class customer service skills with previous customer‐facing experience.

Experience working in a target‐driven environment.

Professional appearance and communication style.

Willingness to undertake training on new product lines, such as laptops and PCs.
