This is a high-impact leadership role with both strategic and operational influence. You will lead and evolve our procurement function across managed print and IT resale, ensuring we have a resilient, cost-effective, and forward-thinking supply chain that supports both growth and customer excellence. You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, bringing insight, structure, and innovation into how we source, manage, and optimise supplier relationships. At the same time, you will lead and develop a capable team, embedding best practice and raising the bar for procurement across the organisation.
What you will be doing:
- Defining and delivering a procurement strategy that drives cost optimisation, performance, and long-term value.
- Building strong, strategic relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors across a complex, multi-vendor environment.
- Leading commercial negotiations to secure competitive pricing, robust contracts, and high-quality service delivery.
- Driving supplier performance through structured evaluation, governance, and risk management.
- Enhancing procurement processes, policies, and systems to improve efficiency, compliance, and data visibility.
- Partnering with sales, operations, and finance to align procurement with demand planning and customer commitments.
- Using market insight and data to identify opportunities for innovation, cost reduction, and competitive advantage.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a small procurement team to deliver consistently high standards.
A typical working pattern is Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30, with a one-hour lunch break. This role also offers flexibility to work from home, typically two days per week for a five-day working week.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven experience in a senior procurement or purchasing leadership role within managed print, IT, or a related technology environment.
- A strong track record of supplier management, contract negotiation, and delivering measurable cost savings.
- Experience managing subcontractors and navigating complex supplier ecosystems.
- The ability to design and implement procurement processes and systems that scale with business growth.
- A collaborative approach, working effectively across sales, operations, and finance.
- Experience leading and developing teams, with a focus on capability and accountability.
- A professional procurement qualification such as CIPS would be advantageous, but not essential.
