We are looking for a dedicated Delivery Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our team. In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for safely collecting products across designated locations across the UK and overseeing warehouse operations. Your primary goal is to ensure timely collections, maintain vehicle safety, and administer warehouse activities to meet customer requirements. This position encompasses the Northeast region but also involves monthly travel to Sheffield and Scotland, as well as potential visits to other parts of the UK when required. You will need to be over 25 years old due to company insurance and also have a UK clean driving licence to be considered. Working pattern is Monday to Thursday, 08:30am to 16:30pm and Friday 8.30am - 4pm (30 mins lunch).

Duties:

  • Drive vehicles to various UK destinations for customer deliveries and collections, ensuring compliance with all driving laws and regulations.
  • Deliver and collect products within specified deadlines while maintaining a consistent schedule.
  • Determine the most efficient routes to delivery and collection addresses to optimise delivery times.
  • Safely load and unload products from vehicles, following proper handling procedures.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and reporting any issues to supervisors promptly.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Full UK driving licence with a clean record.
  • Age 25 or over for insurance purposes.
  • Confident, safe driver with experience in multi-drop or scheduled deliveries.
  • Warehouse experience is helpful but not essential.
  • Comfortable using a pallet truck.
  • IPAF certification is desirable, but training can be provided.
  • Organised, reliable, and calm under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-focused mindset.
