Parkinson\’s Disease Specialist Nurse (Virtual Role- Part Time)

If so, we invite you to lead and deliver our brand new Parkinson’s Disease programme. Working alongside a globally renowned pharmaceutical company, this is a unique opportunity to implement and deliver an innovative virtual (or face to face) patient support programme, making a meaningful impact on Parkinson’s disease patient outcomes. This is a part time job working 2.5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide initiation training and education of the device /product and the administration techniques. This will either be a virtual clinic or face to face in clinic, depending on the location.
- Provide on going virtual support, training and education to Parkinson’s disease patients and their carers.
- Initiate and build strong relationships with NHS Trusts and stakeholders to ensure a seamless integration and collaboration of the Patient Support Programme.
- Working as an advocate for your patient’s needs, you’ll have the autonomy to manage your own diary, ensuring time to build trusting relationships with your patients, carers and other stakeholders.
- Maintain exceptional standards of care, documentation and compliance with clinical governance.
About You
- You’ll be a current registered nurse with proven experience in Parkinson’s Disease / Neurological nursing. (Ideally minimum Band 6).
- Proven ability to work autonomously and deliver care on a virtual basis.
- Comfortable with digital platforms and remote patient engagement.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Current UK Driver’s licence with no more than 6 points and an ability and willingness to travel to Trusts within an acceptable geography when necessary.
- Extensive understanding of the NHS is a must, and previous experience of successful nursing within the pharmaceutical healthcare industry will be a distinct advantage.
