Responsibilities

  • Trading Profitability: The VP Components is responsible for designing and implementing inventory and trading strategies that drive margin into the Sales process. That includes tracking of ROI across various parts portfolios and projects.
  • Customer Base & Client Relationship Management: The VP Components is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans that grow the core customer base of airlines and MRO, and for building and maintaining strong relationships with strategic clients and stakeholders. This includes identifying new market opportunities, setting sales targets, and devising strategies in collaboration with the Business Development team to penetrate new markets or increase market share in existing ones, as well as engaging directly with major clients to understand their needs, negotiate contracts, and ensure client satisfaction. The VP also works to retain existing clients and develop new relationships β€” often representing the company at industry events and meetings β€” and ensures that sales strategies are effectively implemented across the sales team.
  • Team Leadership and Development: A key responsibility is leading and managing the sales team. This involves recruiting, training, and mentoring sales staff, as well as setting performance standards and evaluating team members. The VP Components also fosters a productive sales environment, motivating the team to achieve their targets and contributing to their professional growth. Additionally, to ensure the smooth execution of the sales process, the VP Components actively aligns with the other stakeholders (i.e. Repair Team, Finance Team etc.) of the process to improve the execution along the value stream.
  • Purchasing and Acquisitions: To own and manage the pipeline on airframes for teardown, working closely with the SVP Major Assets from initial review, financial modelling, presentation of business case, through to deal closing and subsequent teardown management in coordination with the MRO Team.

  • Reporting and Analysis: The VP Components provides regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and potential risks or opportunities to the executive team. This includes providing the Sales Team with KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and the collation of reports and data/analysis required from internal systems to support teardown planning, costs, and forecasting.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all company policies, procedures, and standards in the areas of Quality, Safety and Human Resources are followed by the teams.
