Full-time setter/operator role in Redditch. Hours: 08:00-16:30 Monday to Thursday, 08:00-15:00 Friday. Pay guidance from client correspondence: £13-£16 per hour depending strongly on experience. Core duties: work with tight-tolerance materials; set and operate small rolling and bonding mills; operate slitting/shearing machines; calculate strip lengths and quantities using Excel and mental arithmetic; support wider production as required. Full comprehensive training is available due to the niche nature of the industry. Minimum profile: calm and collected, strong attention to fine detail, high mechanical understanding, long-term commitment due to 6-12 month training period, Microsoft Office/Excel capability, ideally ERP/SAP exposure, willing to work overtime at short notice, comfortable learning and using multiple machines. Nice to have: metal industry background, strip/coiled metal experience, apprentice training, rolling mill or slitting/shearing experience, FLT, full clean driving licence.
