APM Terminals is seeking an Information Modeler to design and implement business information models supporting data-driven initiatives. You will work closely with data architects, analysts, and software engineers to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of information models, maintaining documentation and metadata.
APM Terminals (APMT) plays a vital role in the global Maersk Ocean and Logistics network, serving shipping lines, cargo owners, freight forwarders, and port authorities. The company is transforming into a larger, safer, and more efficient global terminal operator.

Purpose: Implementing and scaling Operations Technology is key to achieving operational excellence. You will help develop a future execution platform for APM terminals, designing, de-risking, and planning the ecosystem of systems needed for future operations, supporting the APMT Enterprise Information Model.
Your role involves working with standards like ISO, UNCEFACT, TIC4.0, SMDG, DSCA, and ISA-95, and applying your expertise to improve modelling techniques and tools within our business environment.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Systems Strategy Development: Develop information models to support future operational functionalities.
- Gather and Define Requirements: Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify data needs and ensure alignment.
- Apply Data Modelling Tools: Use Maersk's tools for efficient data modelling.
- Create and Maintain Data Dictionaries: Ensure data consistency and integrity.
- Document and Communicate: Share model designs and standards across teams.
- Optimize Database Performance: Provide input to engineers on data model performance.
- Facilitate Workshops: Lead modelling and event storming sessions with teams.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open communication channels.
- Stay Current: Incorporate industry best practices into modelling processes.
Critical Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
- Strong understanding of business information modelling concepts.
- Experience with modelling tools and standards such as ISO, UNCEFACT, TIC4.0, SMDG, DSCA, ISA-95.
- Knowledge of UML, Archimate, BPMN, and EDI.
- Ability to work independently and in teams, managing multiple initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
Education: Engineering degree in computer science, information science, applied mathematics, or similar.
