Key Responsibilities
Purpose and general responsibilities of the position
Support and advise on overall health, safety, environmental and quality compliance
Support the business through monitoring and measuring HSEQ performance and recommending actions for improvement.
Render a good professional service to all customers and staff.
Specific responsibilities of the position
Provide competent advice on health and safety matters to Management and staff.
Handle incident reporting, including leading accident and incident investigations, root cause identification and sharing best practice.
Act as link and engagement role in ensuring lessons learned are identified and shared.
Assist in preparation of safety related documentation e.g. Risk Assessments, Work Control Packs, and Safe Systems of Work, including monitoring of suitability and effectiveness.
Provide advice and information to assist in implementation of policies and procedures.
Documentation of UK General Management System and agreed third party approvals.
Management of internal and external audits, as well as agreed supplier/provider audits with associated corrective actions and improvement recommendations.
Ensure APMM and MT standards are implemented, measured and reviewed against legislative requirements and that best practice is always applied.
Contribute to the development of General Management System to stakeholder requirements and needs.
Provide feedback on the revision of policies and procedures and the development of new material and approaches.
Ensure General Management System is implemented and operating at all sites through visits, audits and inspections and engaging with site managers and external stakeholders to drive a positive safety culture.
Ensure continual improvement of personal qualities and qualifications to meet the needs of the business.
Conduct Management Reviews, Safety Meetings and attend relevant Industry Workgroups and Meetings.
Ensure minimum annual update of Health & Safety and Environmental aspects and suggest targets and improvement initiatives to management.
