Driving Licence Required. Your application will be deemed unsuccessful if you do not have a driving licence.

Location: North East. Must be able to commute to head office in Team Valley, Gateshead every morning.

Schedule: 24 hours per week guaranteed with more hours available upon request. Will be required to work weekends when necessary.

Pay Rate: £12.85 - £13.74

We are recruiting for a mobile cleaner to help clean locations across the North East of England. Must be an experienced cleaner. Company vehicle provided. You may be asked to clean in buildings for individuals accessing vital mental health support. The successful candidate must understand the importance of creating a safe and welcoming space for vulnerable individuals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To clean and prepare all areas for which you are responsible for whilst following the necessary company policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for service users and staff.
  • To be responsible for cleaning areas as allocated by our North-East Operations Manager.
  • To use cleaning materials as instructed by the Cleaning Supervisor/Operations Manager.
  • To vacuum all carpeted areas and to wash or mop the floors of toilets in designated areas (machine clean where necessary).
  • To empty and clean bins and remove waste to designated areas.
  • To dust and wash surfaces carefully each day with clean dusters/cloths, including desks, seats, ledges, skirting boards and other places where dust settles.
  • To regularly clean toilets and hand basins and to replenish necessary toiletries including toilet paper and hand soap etc.
  • On occasions to carry out periodic cleaning of all internal surfaces and windows, including internal doors.
  • Report all defects/hazards immediately to Cleaning Supervisor/Operations Manager.
  • To comply with COSHH, Manual Handling, Risk Assessment, Colour Coding and any other Cleaning Policies.

  • Cleaning experience.
  • Must understand the importance of creating a safe and welcoming space for vulnerable individuals.
  • Must respect the privacy of individuals accessing mental health services.
  • Carry out all cleaning tasks in accordance with the cleaning schedule.
  • Take ownership of Health and Safety for yourself and others at work.
  • Report all machine and building faults to the Operations Manager.
  • Respond courteously to customer and management requests.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Hours: 24 hours per week guaranteed. Weekend working required when necessary.
