A growing organisation is seeking a confident and detail-driven Payroll Coordinator to join its HR Shared Services function. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of end-to-end payroll processes.

About the Role:

  • Working closely with the HR Shared Services Manager, you will be responsible for delivering an accurate monthly payroll, ensuring all calculations, deductions and statutory payments are processed correctly and on time.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing statutory payments, absences and SSP
  • Calculating starter/leaver deductions, back pay and adjustments
  • Managing pensions administration and related activities
  • Exporting and reconciling timesheet hours to prevent under/over payments
  • Acting as the first point of contact for complex payroll queries
  • Producing payroll data for audits and supporting finance with ad hoc requests
  • Liaising with the payroll software provider and raising cases where required

What We're Looking For:

  • CIPP qualification or BA (Hons)
  • Proven experience running an end-to-end payroll
  • Strong understanding of statutory payments and absence processing
  • Confidence in handling complex payroll queries and explaining outcomes clearly
  • Experience working within a busy HR environment
  • Knowledge of HR and payroll systems
  • Understanding of pensions processes
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across the business
  • Solid IT skills, including Word, Excel (vlookups & pivot tables), PowerPoint and Outlook
