We are currently seeking a professional Electrical Maintenance Engineer who will undertake planned and reactive maintenance at our client premises, Hull Women & Children's Hospital. The post holder will be hardworking and committed to ensuring the highest standards are adhered to at all times, being professional and readily interacting with our client as required.
As part of the role, you will:
- Conduct legislative PPM tasks including Emergency Luminaire Inspection, Test and Repair.
- Conduct reactive Maintenance tasks to a variety of plant and equipment as directed by Technical Supervisor or Management.
- Fault diagnosis and solution identification/implementation.
- Achieve a prompt effective response to emergency situations, being capable to diagnose faults and initiating action to prevent deterioration in environmental conditions within the premises.
- Maintain up to date records of all work carried out on plant and equipment within the site manuals both hard copy files and electronic.
- Provide emergency call-out in respect of all clients in line with a rota basis (1 in 4 weeks).
- Conduct the operation of the contract in a pro-active manner to minimise difficulties with the building environmental systems.
- Ensure that all communication channels are utilised to keep both the client and the Company informed of relevant information.
- Liaise with specialist sub-contractors and engineers with other disciplines to ensure the efficient operation of the plant/area without disruption to the client.
Our Ideal Candidate will need to have:
- City and Guilds or similar qualification in Electrical Engineering. BS7671 - 18th Edition plus any other formal electrical qualification such as 2391 would be desirable.
- Evidence of multi-skilled training.
- Good fault finding and problem solving skills.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
- Knowledge and experience of building services systems, maintenance management.
- Knowledge of implementing effective health and safety procedures.
- Ability to use computers to intermediate level for Word, Excel and Outlook.
- BMS Systems.
- Ideally live within 30 minutes of the hospital due to call out response times.
Desirable:
- Experience in a similar Facilities Management role or worked in a hospital environment.
- Experience in controls.
Well make sure that you have everything you need to do a great job. You will already have experience gained in a similar role. You will work 37.5 hours per week but will need to be flexible to ensure service delivery at the highest level.
