In this role as Financial Accountant, you will play a central part in delivering accurate accounting, compliance, and reporting for the Northern Europe region.
As the Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all month-end close activities, balance sheet reviews & compliance, audit support and monthly reporting to Group HQ.
The Financial Accountant will need to show a keenness and aptitude for getting things right, first time, and be committed to ensuring that the Finance function is professional and well respected.
As part of this role, you will also
- Support month-end close activities, including journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyse monthly financial results, providing insight into account movements and business performance.
- Manage weekly cash forecasting and support banking activities, payments, and cash management processes.
- Deliver accurate and timely intercompany accounting, adjustments, and recharges across multiple entities.
- Maintain strong financial controls, governance standards, and compliance with internal policies and audit requirements.
- Use analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues, investigate variances, and implement practical solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders to support business objectives and reporting requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement by streamlining processes, enhancing reporting, and leveraging digital tools and systems.
Our Ideal candidate will need to have
- Part Qualified (AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Minimum of three years’ experience in financial accounting preferably gained in medium to large multi-national companies
- High level of computer literacy including advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with SAP would be desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines.
- High standards of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.

You will already have experience gained in a similar role as a Financial accountant.
You will work 37.5 hours per week but will need to be flexible to ensure service delivery at the highest level.
