Hours – Mon to Fri, 8am-5pm & 7am-4pm. Alternating as per site rota
We are currently seeking a professional site-based Lead Engineer based at a high end commercial client site in Canary Wharf. The role is focused on delivery of planned preventative maintenance along with additional works, reactive fault finding, repairs and installations. You will assist in the day to day running of your M&E team.
As a qualified M&E Lead Engineer, you will liaise with the Contract Manager to monitor the progress of all PPM and Reactive works to ensure that all jobs are being completed correctly and within the set times and achieve the most efficient and effective running of the buildings. As the Lead M&E Engineer, you will manage all breakdowns, reactive and PPM works as required using your skills in supporting the team in resolving problems. You will also be fully conversant with the permit to work duties and to assist in the operation of the system.
The Lead M&E Engineer will work within a team and contribute at both an individual and team level to provide exceptional services and levels of compliance to our client and customers by leading a team of engineers. The ability to develop good working relationships with our client, customers, sub-contractors and colleagues with interaction on a professional level being a key requirement for this position.
Skills & Experience:
- 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulation plus any other formal electrical qualifications
- Mechanical awareness, FCU & AHU maintenance tasks
- Water Testing (L8), Fire Alarm testing and general handyperson tasks.
- Experience of overseeing team of engineers and leading by example.
We’ll provide you with full training once you start and make sure that you have everything you need to do a great job. You will already have experience of working in a similar environment. You will work 40 hours per week and you will have access to employee benefits that will be available to you as soon as you start.
