Apleona UK is seeking an experienced Facilities Business Unit Leader to take full accountability for the strategic, operational, and financial performance of a multi-service IFM portfolio across a diverse geographic footprint. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, client satisfaction, safety, and commercial growth while leading multidisciplinary FM teams across multiple FM service lines.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping business performance, strengthening client partnerships, and delivering sustainable growth in line with Apleona’s values and strategic objectives.
As our Facilities Business Unit Leader, you will:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a mixed-service IFM portfolio, ensuring operational excellence and contractual compliance.
- Own full P&L responsibility, delivering revenue, margin, cost control, cash flow, and working capital targets.
- Build, lead, and develop high-performing multidisciplinary teams, fostering a strong people and safety culture.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a customer‑centric approach across all services.
- Drive continuous improvement, service efficiency, retention, and growth opportunities, including variations, renewals, and new services.
- Ensure robust compliance with health & safety, statutory, and contractual requirements, championing a strong SHE culture.
- Contribute to business development, bid support, and wider business unit collaboration.
What we require from you:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience leading multiple contracts or key accounts within IFM / TFM environments.
- Proven leadership experience across mixed FM service lines (engineering, soft services, workplace services).
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with demonstrable P&L ownership.
- Solid understanding of FM compliance, health & safety legislation, and governance frameworks.
- Health & Safety trained (NEBOSH or equivalent).
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and performance reporting.
- Valid UK driving license with access to your own personal vehicle.
