School Caretaker

Location: Livingston, West Lothian, EH54 8AF

Type: Permanent, Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Shift patterns could range from 6:00am – 2:30pm or 11:00am till 7:30pm. There may be some occasions where you may be needed to close the school beyond these shift times.

About the role:

As the School Caretaker, you will be required to open the school and secure the school at night depending on your shift pattern. You will also undertake regular building and grounds inspections and report maintenance issues and safety concerns.

As part of this role, you will need:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Experience in carrying out minor maintenance duties
  • Great time keeping
  • Basic knowledge of MS Outlook, Word and Outlook

We’ll make sure that you have everything you need to do a great job. You will already have experience gained in a similar role, in a demanding, fast-paced environment. You will work 40 hours per week but will need to be flexible to ensure service delivery at the highest level.
