Location – Midlands (This is a nationwide role)

Hours – Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00

Salary range £35,000 to £39,000 – Dependent on Experience

As a Water Treatment Technician, you will deliver a high level of customer service whilst meeting health and safety, financial, KPI, statutory, quality and contractual compliance. You will provide site and client based contract management & service support by specialising in Water Hygiene related activities whilst maintaining legislative compliance including the ability to assess, diagnose, determine the most appropriate resolution and support to any interruptions / issues which may evolve.

Responsibilities:

  • Completing the PPM tasks and one-off jobs at our clients’ sites maintain both site traditional logbooks & electronic APP APLEONA Building Compliance ABC/123 logbook.
  • Onsite testing of water systems using a combination of field test kit and water sampling to a UKAS accredited laboratory for open and closed circuits.
  • Clean and calibration of probes and adjust as required by the test results.
  • Temperature monitoring / flushing outlets and cleaning / disinfection / descaling of water systems and appliances.
  • Servicing TMV / TMT & Faile safe testing.
  • Inspection of HWS cylinders, CWST’s and other water systems using borescope where required.
  • Test onsite equipment, water softeners, UV, Cl2 dosing pumps and filtration equipment.
  • PPM and reactive service calls to sites and Small works plumbing tasks / installing / replacing equipment.

NB: This role will be predominantly based within a 150 Mile radius of Birmingham. The position is mobile working at our client’s sites and will require frequent travel / stop overs within the UK.

Skills & Experience:

  • Legionella awareness training
  • Demonstrable experience in the water treatment industry (3 years minimum)
  • Plumbing NVQ L2 / L3
  • Working knowledge of AcOP L8, HSG 274 & HTM 04:01
  • Full UK driver’s license

Desirable:

  • Cooling tower / Hydrotherapy pools analysis & treatment.
  • Ability to demonstrate risk assessor and pre commission cleaning skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate Service / Installation of water treatment equipment knowledge of BG29 & BG50.

We’ll make sure that you have everything you need to do a great job. You will already have experience gained in a similar role, in a demanding, fast paced environment. You will work 40 hours per week but will need to be flexible to ensure service delivery at the highest level.
