Join our London Operations team as an OTC Derivatives Operations Associate, a hands-on role supporting the trading desks with regular interaction with Prime Brokers, fund administrators, and other external counterparties.
Your future role at QRT:
- Managing end-to-end post-trade workflows for OTC Derivatives, including exotic Equities, Rates, and FX products.
- Performing trade booking, affirmation, confirmation, and settlement across OTC derivative products, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Handling lifecycle events including expiries, knock-outs, corporate actions and cashflow events.
- Interpreting terms sheets and OTC long form paper confirmations to ensure trades are correctly captured and processed.
- Monitoring reconciliations across internal systems, brokers, and fund administrators, resolving breaks quickly and efficiently.
- Liaising with multiple trading desks, Treasury, Senior Managers, Risk, Compliance & COO teams regarding trade issues and queries.
- Supporting process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance OTC workflows.
Your present skillset:
- 3 + years’ OTC Derivatives Operations/Trade Support experience (Equity Derivatives essential; Rates and FX Derivatives experience advantageous).
- Strong knowledge of OTC derivative products, including volatility instruments, Value at Risk (VaR) concepts, exotic equity options, and OTC swaps.
- Clear understanding of post-trade trade lifecycle mechanics, including trade capture, affirmation, OTC confirmation, settlement, and lifecycle events.
- Familiarity with MarkitWire, Market Trade Manager (MTM) or similar OTC platforms.
- Experience handling OTC trade documentation and understanding bilateral post-trade workflow.
- Hands-on reconciliation experience across cash, positions, margins, and FX.
- Driven and self-motivated to problem solve, question the status quo, and contribute to automation initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Collaborative team player, adaptable to working in a lean and dynamic team environment.
