As a Finance Associate - Accounts Payable Specialist (Associate) at Kainos, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of accounting tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Accurately enter supplier invoices to the accounting system for approval on a timely basis.
- Generate payments to suppliers for approved invoiced in line with approved payment processes.
- Review automatic payments (e. g. direct debits) to ensure appropriately authorised and documentation received.
- Respond to external suppliers and internal colleagues regarding all aspects of the accounts payable process.
- Performing supplier statement reconciliations.
- Complete new supplier set up process.
- Assist with bank reconciliations.
- Providing support to the rest of the Finance as required.
- MINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 6 months’ relevant experience or a 3rd level degree.
- Ability to work efficiently and comfortably prioritise your workload in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
- A self-starter who can work on their own initiatives with minimal supervision
- Sound verbal and written communication skills with both staff and external stakeholders
- We all work in teams here in Kainos – a proven ability of strong team skills, including taking direction from others, is crucial
- Highly flexible, including willingness to work flexible hours at peak times
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Outlook and Word.
- Sound knowledge of Workday, or a similar accounting package
- Ability to carry out responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures and processes.
