What the Hiring Manager says…. Our exceptional people originate differentiated opportunities, invest responsibly, and deliver long-term value. ICG partners with management teams, founders, and business owners in a creative and solutions-focused approach, supporting them with our expertise and flexible capital. Your role will be to help us to tell this story, across the fields of external and internal communications. Investment excellence will be at the heart of your storytelling, as you work with us to raise awareness of ICG in the 20+ global locations in which we have a local presence and forge critical, long-standing relationships with our clients, shareholders and other stakeholders.

Summary of our opportunity: You will join an established, agile, highly collaborative, performance-driven and impactful Corporate Affairs team of nine as it begins to implement its refreshed strategy, five years on from its establishment. The role’s geographic focus is global, focused on the 20+ countries in which we have a local presence. Key stakeholders internally are ICG’s investment teams, Client Solutions Group, Shareholder Relations, Corporate Development, and Compliance. You will be based primarily in our London office on Ludgate Circus near St Paul’s.

  • Publish content to ICG’s internal communications platforms and its external owned and shared channels
  • Measure, monitor and optimise content and channel performance, both for key human audiences and artificial intelligence
  • Build connections and working relationships with colleagues across ICG, which will enable you to deliver efficiently and effectively

If you are not from a private markets background, you will apply your energy and intelligence to learning about and understanding the spaces within which we operate, as well as the opportunities and challenges ICG and its peers face. Applicants from a private markets background will find that there is ample room to grow at ICG. Aside from your core responsibilities, you will contribute as required to the work of the wider ICG Corporate Affairs team, across client communications, media relations, public affairs, events, awards and issues management – this will provide you with a breadth and depth of experience, aiding your career growth and goals.

Associate level responsibilities:

  • Contribute to a positive work environment and demonstrate a more matured approach in their attitude and work ethic
  • Demonstrate a solid, developing understanding of applicable governance, compliance, risk policies and procedures
  • Generate ideas on improving the effectiveness of processes, applications and techniques both within the Digital and Content area, and Corporate Affairs more widely
  • Informally mentor Analysts or Graduates around the business
  • Manage interns, freelancers, agencies and consultancies, to ensure we are effectively using such resources, budgets and relationships, both in the short and long term

Key Requirements/Qualifications: You will have demonstrable experience of:

  • Excellent written and spoken English, coupled with a keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to think critically, be a self-starter, grasp the bigger picture and apply good judgement
  • A team player who is equally comfortable working alone
  • Intermediate ability to use and manipulate Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Intermediate Microsoft Copilot 365 or similar AI LLM skills
