Right now, we are looking for a new colleague to join our EMEA Business Development Team in the position of Solutions Sales Manager, UK.

Main responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to drive company growth, establishing relationships with prospective clients, developing sales strategies, and ultimately securing new customers in the UK.
  • Building a robust sales pipeline using various methods to identify and reach targeted customers; working closely with marketing and sales support on outreach strategies.
  • Interacting with multiple decision-makers & influencers at different levels; identifying their specific pain points, goals and desired outcomes, securing buy-in from various stakeholders involved in the decision-making process.
  • Designing a value-added solution with the support of APLL subject matter experts; showcasing and clearly communicating how this directly addresses their needs, solves their problems, and improves their situation.
  • Closing the sale & onboarding the new customer; supporting the implementation team to successfully onboard your new customers into APL Logistics.
  • Updating the customer data in the CRM (Salesforce) providing visibility of status and next steps; enabling accurate sales management reporting.
  • Providing insights into UK Customer and Competitor developments, managing sales leads from our Global network, and aligning effort with our parent company KWE as and when relevant.

What we are looking for:

  • Successful track record in business development and solutions sales roles within the 3rd Party Logistics and Freight Forwarding sectors.
  • Experience in order management / supply chain management sales is a must.
  • Strong understanding of the solution sales cycle and sales techniques.
  • Experience in the retail & lifestyle sectors is a distinct advantage.
  • Results-oriented with a proven track record of achieving new business sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Ability to successfully network and engage at all levels within an organisation.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
