Job PurposeAchievement of new business sales revenue in APL Logistics core verticals and services to help our business grow.
Responsibilities- Building a robust sales pipeline of qualified sales prospects and opportunities to achieve sales targets.
- Positioning of APL Logistics as a global supply chain specialist providing order management and Global transportation solutions to qualified prospects.
- Applying a consultative selling approach to identify pain points and understand customer needs.
- Create compelling value-added solutions with the support of subject matter experts within the business that solve the customer’s supply chain and logistics problems - present, negotiate and win the business.
- Stakeholder management; attending face to face customer meetings to build rapport and trust at all levels within the organisation.
- Supporting the customer implementation to ensure successful onboarding of your new customers into APLL.
- Providing insight into Regional Customer and Competitor developments in the German market.
- Managing sales leads for Germany from our Global network and aligning effort with our parent company KWE as and when relevant.
- Regularly updating the CRM (Salesforce) throughout each customer engagement phase for up to date pipeline visibility and accurate sales reporting.
- A successful track record in Supply Chain & Logistics new business sales.
- A minimum of 10 years new business sales experience.
- Experience in Retail & Lifestyle, Consumer, Industrial and Automotive verticals a distinct advantage.
- Experience in solution selling: the positioning of value-added solutions to win order management and global transportation customers.
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong prospecting, presenting and negotiation skills.
- Ability to successfully network and engage at all levels within an organisation.
- Strong time management, organizational, and planning skills.
- Ability to work well on your own and within a team.
- Sales incentive scheme with uncapped commission.
