The Regional Applications Senior Specialist ensures correct usage of the Transport Management System and promotes best practice and correct governance of the platform. This role will act as lead solution architect, ensuring new process onboardings are delivered in a harmonized and sustainable way to align with the standardized processes of our organization.
Responsibilities:- Platform solution architect, acting as a bridge between business needs and technical implementation.
- Implementation support – Identifying and validating IT business solutions to meet implementation requirements and align requirements with product strategy.
- Collaboration with IT, Customer Support and Operations.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Support application releases and rollouts, co-ordinating testing and feedback to development teams. Ensuring knowledge of new features is cascaded.
- Definition of system governance and best practice.
- Implement and manage application interfaces (API, EDI, Kafka) between the TMS and other internal systems, ensuring they meet organisational integration design patterns.
- Vendor management – manage technical relationship and participate in their customer forums and communities to drive TMS development towards our needs.
- Create and manage technology capabilities roadmap and prioritization.
- Alignment with platform administrators in other regions to ensure consistency of process and adherence to standards.
- Identify technology solutions to meet business and financial objectives.
- Ensure alignment with company’s maxims and enterprise technology standards.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information technology, supply chain engineering, or supply chain logistics.
- Minimum 5 years of well-rounded technology, logistics operations, and customer-facing experience.
- Knowledge of integration patterns and associated technologies.
- Hands-on experience of administrating Transport Management Systems.
- Practical knowledge of BlueYonder suite of logistics products, especially BY Network (formerly OneNetwork).
- Expertise in Visio for process mapping as a nice to have.
- Strong skills in requirements gathering.
- Experience in implementation processes.
- Strong organization, time management and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent in English to a high-level.
