We have an exciting opportunity for a CAD Layout Engineer to join our engineering team at our Great Yarmouth facility working on challenging and innovative projects that are important drivers for our continued growth.
In this important role, you will provide high reliability microelectronics product and circuit design expertise in support of new product introductions as well as enhance and optimise aspects of design for existing products.
Main Responsibilities:

Produce PCBA and thick film hybrid circuit designs for products based on internal and external customer design requirements including production of PCB/substrate layout, wire bonding layout and package design

Deal with design changes/ obsolescence issues

Provide document control with layout and part drawings to create or update product documentation

Provide support to other departments for current and new products in manufacturing and testing

Bachelor or Masters Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent qualification/experience (preferred but not essential)
Knowledge and Experience:

Electronics engineering background

Proven experience in electronics design and circuit layout

Working knowledge of any of the following Cadence / Pantheon / Eagle / AutoCad / Solidworks / Cam350 / GC Powerplace, * Excellent diagnostic and problem solving capability

Meticulous attention to detail and a methodical approach to work

High initiative requiring minimal prompting

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work as member of a multi-disciplinary team

Ability to cope with new and changing demands

Ability to deal with ambiguity

SC cleared or ability to obtain

Role is office based with occasional home working
