We are seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team within a fast‑paced microelectronics manufacturing environment. You will provide technical expertise and leadership in the development and implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies. You will take ownership of key projects from concept through qualification and release into production. This role focuses on solving material and integration challenges associated with hybrid microelectronic packaging and advanced electronic assemblies, ensuring robust, scalable, and high‑reliability manufacturing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the selection of materials and development of manufacturing processes for new and existing products
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in manufacturing technologies, working cross‑functionally with design, manufacturing, and customers
- Collaborate with Process Engineering to define and guide development work packages
- Support the introduction of new products into manufacturing, ensuring smooth transition from development to production
- Generate, review, and maintain manufacturing documentation (e.g., work instructions, process specifications, BOMs)
- Partner with Quality to define and execute qualification plans for new products and processes
- Engage with external suppliers and contractors to evaluate and introduce new process capabilities
- Communicate technical updates and project status clearly to stakeholders and management
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, yield, and best practices
- Contribute to overall engineering team performance, taking on additional responsibilities as required
Essential Qualifications
- Engineering discipline, or demonstrable equivalent industry experience
- Proven experience in technology development, process engineering, and manufacturing support
- Strong understanding of manufacturing materials
- Practical experience in microelectronics assembly
- Experience in aerospace, semiconductor, microelectronics, or similar high‑reliability industries
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems

- Expertise in microelectronic packaging and assembly
- Experience in manufacturing process development and optimisation
- Strong technical documentation and report writing skills
- Experience delivering operator training
- Familiarity with cleanroom environments
