This role is on a fixed-term basis until the end of the year. The Production Operator is responsible for manufacturing, testing, and inspecting products safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards, while actively contributing to the performance of the team and work area. In addition to delivering day-to-day production requirements, the role is expected to demonstrate ownership, accountability, and initiative by identifying issues, solving problems, supporting colleagues, and continuously seeking ways to improve quality, delivery, efficiency, and workplace standards. Production Operators play a key role in creating a positive, high-performance culture where individuals take responsibility for results, challenge the status quo, and contribute ideas that drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, test and inspect electronic products in line with work instructions, specifications and quality standards.
  • Deliver production targets while maintaining high levels of quality, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Identify, resolve or escalate production, process and equipment issues to support efficient operations.
  • Take ownership for the quality of your work and consistently uphold safety, quality and workplace standards.
  • Contribute ideas and support continuous improvement activities to improve safety, quality, productivity and efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support training and multi-skilling, and help create a positive team culture.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping, 5S standards and workplace organisation.
  • Carry out routine equipment checks and maintenance activities to support reliability and minimise downtime.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in a manufacturing, production, assembly, or engineering environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to carry out precision assembly work to a high standard.
  • Soldering experience is desirable, although full training and certification can be provided.
  • A quality-focused individual who takes pride in producing accurate, right-first-time work.
  • A reliable and proactive team player who takes ownership of their responsibilities and works well with others.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to support colleagues, cross-training, and multi-skilling activities.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with an interest in Lean manufacturing, 5S, and problem solving.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and eager to learn new skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Able to obtain Security Clearance (SC).
  • Interest/ passion for electronics.
