API Holdings Ltd has three engineering based subsidiary companies whose expertise span across a variety of engineering specialties. API Engineering specialises in the design and manufacture of capital equipment and tooling for the steel, agricultural and oil and gas industries. Much of their work is complimentary to sister company PPI Engineering whose expertise lies with rotating electrical machines and on-site service work. API Holdings also has a wholly owned subsidiary API Capacitors which is the last UK manufacturer of power capacitors. Much of the work API Holdings completes provides diverse opportunity and challenges.
Summary Job Description: Manage the operation of the Service Department. The Service Department carries out work on site on a worldwide basis. Work is also carried out in the facility in Norwich.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the service engineers. This includes allocating work, maintaining necessary certification, security clearance, training and visas.
- Generate and manage enquiries, quotes, contracts, invoicing on service work.
- Arrange site meetings in support of enquiries, contracts and business development.
- Manage reporting and documentation structure.
- Look after all site tooling and instrumentation including arranging calibration as required. Establish a dedicated area for equipment at Norwich facility.
- Co-ordinate with other departments to support new equipment and service work.
- Increase the size of the service team with support from the Directors to include some experienced electromechanical and commissioning engineers.
