Due to continued growth, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will be responsible for a broad range of HR functions, including compliance, benefits administration, leaves of absence, employee and leadership coaching, and managing benefit reconciliation processes to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of employee benefits. This is a hybrid-option role and 2 days in our Corporate Office in Brighton, NY. This position is ideal for a well-rounded HR professional with a strong background in employee benefits, analytical skills, and a passion for providing exceptional service to employees.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update employee records in HR systems, ensuring data accuracy.
- Partner with department leaders to support talent management initiatives such as performance reviews, training, and development.
- Manage weekly and monthly benefit reconciliation by comparing carrier invoices with employee benefit enrollments to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with payroll to ensure benefit deductions are processed correctly and align with system records.
- Prepare and maintain benefit reports, identifying trends, errors, or gaps in the reconciliation process.
- Support open enrollment processes by coordinating communications, tracking enrollments, and assisting with system updates.
- Provide training and support to employees on benefit offerings and related enrollment or claim processes.
- Participate in HR initiatives, projects, and process improvements.
- Assist in creating and updating HR policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry trends, benefit regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a related HR role. Strong background in benefits administration and reconciliation is required.
- Certifications: SHRM-CP, PHR, or related HR certifications are a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills, especially in managing and reconciling benefit data.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, benefits programs, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with employees, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Salary range: $60,000-$70,000 per year, depending on experience.
