About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Python Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions. The role involves developing modern data pipelines, enabling cloud-based data lakehouse platforms, and leading migration initiatives from legacy systems to the cloud. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data modeling, advanced SQL, and cloud data ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines for batch and streaming processing using Python.
  • Lead data lake/lakehouse development and migration initiatives on Snowflake.
  • Develop and maintain integration services and APIs using Django/Flask.
  • Architect and execute migration strategies from legacy platforms to modern cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define data strategy, governance, and architecture standards.
  • Provide technical leadership on cloud data platforms (AWS, Snowflake).
  • Work with various RDBMS systems (Sybase IQ, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) to ensure smooth data integration and transformation.
  • Ensure best practices for data security, scalability, and performance.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong programming experience with Python (batch & streaming data processing).
  • Proven expertise in Snowflake and cloud data platforms (AWS).
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL for analytics and performance tuning.
  • Experience with APIs and integration frameworks using Django/Flask.
  • Solid understanding of data migration architecture (legacy to cloud).
  • Experience across multiple RDBMS platforms (Sybase IQ, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Good to Have
  • Exposure to data governance and compliance frameworks.
  • Knowledge of modern streaming platforms (Kafka, Spark Streaming, etc.).
  • Experience in designing end-to-end enterprise data strategies.
