About the role: We’re looking for an Associate Cloud DevOps Engineer to support the design, automation, and operation of our cloud runtime platforms. You’ll contribute to infrastructure‑as‑code, CI/CD, observability, and reliability efforts while learning from senior engineers and collaborating with application teams, Tech Risk, and vendor platforms.

What you will do:

  • Support the design and operation of AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda/ECS/EKS) using CloudFormation and AWS CDK.
  • Assist in CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance (GitLab CI/Jenkins/GitHub Actions/AWS Code Pipeline).
  • Contribute to observability efforts including metrics, logs, traces, and alerting systems.
  • Participate in incident response and post‑incident reviews; help reduce MTTR through automation.
  • Automate operational tasks using TypeScript and scripting languages; codify ops playbooks.
  • Help implement security controls including secrets management, network segmentation, and firewall policies.
  • Collaborate on cost optimization strategies and performance tuning.
  • Learn and apply best practices across Dev, Runtime, and vendor teams.
  • Support Kafka–based eventing and MongoDB–backed services as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years’ experience in DevOps/SRE/Platform Engineering with production AWS experience.
  • Experience with CloudFormation and AWS CDK; solid Linux fundamentals and shell scripting.
  • CI/CD pipeline exposure (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Code Pipeline).
  • Containers and orchestration (Docker, EKS/ECS); understanding of progressive delivery.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript for automation.
  • Solid understanding of networking and security (VPCs, routing, security groups, firewalls).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
  • AWS certification preferred (e.g., AWS DevOps Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect).

Preferred qualifications:

  • GitOps (Argo CD/Flux) and service mesh fundamentals; APM/RUM (Dynatrace/New Relic).
  • Operating Kafka and MongoDB in production; experience with microservices & distributed systems.
  • Experience in regulated environments (financial services), with audit and control practices.
  • PagerDuty administration and on‑call program exposure; cost governance/FinOps familiarity.
  • Proficiency in Python (or Bash/Go) for automation.
  • Familiarity with observability stacks (CloudWatch, Prometheus/Grafana, Splunk/ELK, Datadog) and alerting practices.
