Job Description Data Scientist Location: UK Remote (occasional travel for workshops and stakeholder meetings) Contract Type: Outside IR35 Length of Contract: Initial 3-months, with a view to extend Our client is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to support the development of advanced analytical models that deliver meaningful commercial insights and support strategic decision-making. This is an opportunity to work on a unique analytics programme involving large-scale commercial datasets, predictive modelling and the identification of external factors that influence business performance. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise with commercial awareness, helping to transform complex data into practical recommendations that drive measurable outcomes. Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns and performance drivers. Conduct regression analysis and forecasting exercises. Design approaches for sourcing, cleansing and integrating multiple data sources. Produce high-quality documentation, visualisations and supporting analysis. Support the ongoing refinement and evolution of analytical models, including potential machine learning applications. Proven experience as a Data Scientist, Predictive Analytics Consultant, Quantitative Analyst or similar analytical role. Strong background in statistical modelling and data analysis. Strong Python and data analytics capability. Experience turning data analysis into actionable business recommendations. Forecasting or risk analytics experience. Machine learning model development.
