This role is for an experienced Fidessa developer in the Equities Cash Technology organization. The group supports institutional and retail equities trading desks and is responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting multiple production trading applications built on the Fidessa trading platform. A successful candidate must have prior hands-on Fidessa implementation experience, in-depth knowledge of the Fidessa architecture, frameworks, and products, and proven track record performing product upgrades with complex onsite customizations. Hands-on FTW implementation experience is a strong plus.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support multiple Fidessa trading systems
- Integrate Fidessa systems into the Bank’s technology stack
- Upgrade product components on a regular basis to keep up with the latest updates
- Work with BAs/PM and other developers to satisfy business and regulatory requirements
- Onboard the systems to DevOps CI/CD tools
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of Fidessa server-side development experience
- Fidessa Product Suite: CASE, FBL, TOP (OMAR, TMAR, PMAC), PAIRS, NMS, FIX+, APAS, FDA FIX protocol
- Platforms: Windows 10/11, Linux
- Equities / Global Markets / Order Management and Post-Trade
- Scripting: TCL, Python, Unix shell scripting, PowerShell
- Databases: Sybase, MS SQL Server
- Distributed system design, messaging, event processing
- Messaging frameworks: AMPS, IBM MQ, Tibco EMS
- Automated testing frameworks
- Agile SDLC, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines
- AI tooling
Desired Skills:
- 3+ years of core Java development experience
- Hands-on FDA and Sybase experience
