We are a leading M&E Contractor working across the UK, delivering complex projects in sectors such as healthcare, nuclear, defence, government, leisure, industrial, and infrastructure. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced M&E Planner to join our team. This is a key role where you will take ownership of planning and project controls across a diverse portfolio of building services projects. The Role

As an M&E Planner, you will play a crucial part in ensuring projects are well planned, well managed, and delivered successfully. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and external partners to build robust programmes, track progress, and keep projects aligned with both contractual and operational requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop and manage project programmes across site and office environments
  • Coordinate plans with clients, subcontractors, and external stakeholders
  • Monitor progress against programme baselines and produce monthly reports
  • Support tender submissions by developing planning strategies for bids
  • Identify risks, delays, and opportunities and recommend solutions
  • Prepare recovery programmes where required
  • Lead weekly planning meetings and keep teams aligned
  • Track construction progress and produce clear, accurate reporting (including S-curves)
  • Carry out critical path analysis and apply Earned Value Management techniques
  • Review subcontractor performance and manpower levels

What We’re Looking For

Experience

  • Strong background in MEP Contracting / Building Services planning
  • Proven experience within construction or engineering environments (5-10 years)
  • Good understanding of construction sequencing and project delivery
  • Familiarity with NEC and/or JCT contracts

Technical Skills

  • Asta Powerproject (essential)
  • Primavera P6 (preferred)
  • Power BI (desirable)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially reporting and presentations)

  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills able to present information clearly
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
