Duties
Safely operate a commercial van to complete multiple deliveries throughout your route, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
Load and unload parcels, often involving heavy lifting, ensuring all items are handled with care and accuracy.
Plan delivery routes efficiently to maximize productivity and meet delivery deadlines.
Communicate clearly with customers upon delivery, providing excellent service and addressing any questions or concerns professionally.
Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs and electronic proof of delivery.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and maintenance standards are met.
Maintain a clean and organized vehicle to promote safety and efficiency throughout your shift.
Experience
Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving commercial driving is desirable but not essential.
Valid drivers Manual licence
Familiarity with warehouse operations or logistics processes is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading tasks.
Strong communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members.
Knowledge of local roads and navigation tools to optimize delivery routes.
